Zurich, July 28, 2020 - The well-known technology entrepreneur Marc P. Bernegger is the newest member of GENTWO's Advisory Board. Many value-creating collaborations have already been created via GENTWO's modern securitization platforms. The further potential is high, both for already existing business sectors as well as those in earlier stages of development. Thanks to this “bridge builder’s” innovative securitization solution, many different types of actors, from a wide variety of ecosystems, can easily link to one another to create new value together. In order to strategically address these opportunities, the well-known technology entrepreneur and fintech investor Marc P. Bernegger has joined the GENTWO Advisory Board.

“We are delighted to have convinced Marc P. Bernegger, an outstanding serial entrepreneur, to leverage his exceptional expertise and extensive network of contacts to support our upcoming growth initiatives and scaling-up,” says Philippe A. Naegeli, CEO of GENTWO.

As a Swiss start-up expert, Bernegger has a broad network and many years’ experience within a wide range of business ecosystems – both of which will benefit GENTWO's further development. Advising this fast-growing securitization company, the concrete role that he will play is focused above all on identifying further sources of growth and accelerating the company’s scaling-up. Bernegger will also support GENTWO in running its current funding round. An experienced investor, he has himself invested in the successful fintech company. GENTWO is currently in a financing round to raise capital that will underpin the company’s next phase of acceleration – in particular its internationalization, the expansion of its business activities, and new growth initiatives.

“GENTWO is currently one of the most exciting growth companies in the Swiss financial sector,” Bernegger observes. “On the one hand, it already has an established business model and a broad customer base. On the other hand, only a fraction of its market potential has been tapped so far. We will soon be opening up countless exciting business areas together. I am looking forward to shaping the investment market with GENTWO.”, says Marc P. Bernegger.

Marc P. Bernegger's entrepreneurial career started early. At the age of 20, he co-founded the Swiss party platform "usgang.ch" (later acquired by Axel Springer Media). He then co-founded amiando, a ticketing platform that was named a "Global Technology Pioneer" by the World Economic Forum (WEF) and ultimately purchased by Xing, the leading social network for professional contacts. Following his exit from these two start-ups, Bernegger became active as a fintech investor, including as a partner of NextGFI, a venture partner of Orange Growth Capital, and as an advisory board member at FinLeap. In 2012, he began working with Bitcoin and digital assets. Among the positions Bernegger holds today is that of a board member of the Crypto Finance Group and the CfC St. Moritz, as well as a member of the World Economic Forum’s expert network for Blockchain and the digital economy.

    About GENTWO and GENTWO Digital

Zurich-based innovative securitization specialist GENTWO has created a new generation of financial products. The company builds securitization platforms for its institutional clientele and enables professional investors to securitize not only bankable, but also non-bankable assets with a Swiss ISIN. The focus on so-called off-balance-sheet investment products solves the problem of declining margins and growth barriers for many financial market players. It opens up new performance potential by creating access to a theoretically unlimited world of asset classes. Financial intermediaries, including banks, can use GENTWO's setup to realize their own product and business innovations. GENTWO Digital is a joint venture based in the Crypto Valley in Zug, Switzerland. It makes digital assets bankable and turns it into conventional securities (investment certificates).
